K&G Led Light Products an e-commerce company based out of New Jersey is looking for a Developer Associate responsible for back-end and front-end development.

The individual should be an effective communicator with strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to think critically, He would work closely with the IT & Web Development Director as well as the Marketing & Art director.

This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, AJAX, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, color and font choices, and so on).

The candidate should have a strong understanding of WordPress content management systems and software. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is preferred, as well as an understanding of the entire web development process including design, development, and deployment.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Implementing new features and functionality as well as maintaining and optimizing existing,
• Fixing errors & optimization of code
• Create and maintain documentation of the development process.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Programming skills and knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and PHP.
• Strong understanding of PHP back-end development.
• Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
• Programming and web application development and basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process.
• Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL), Object-Oriented preffered.
